In simple words, third-party sellers use Amazon platform to sell they own merchandise, but they are not Amazon as such because they have their own stock and prices.

I usually bought books from third-party sellers because they have sometimes better prices than Amazon. They also sell books that are no longer in print, rare titles, collectible editions and so on. Since I'm not a millionaire, many of my books are second-hand, but that was never a problem to me, because some of them are in excellent condition and deserve a second opportunity to be loved.
The following list covers three of my favorite third-party sellers from Amazon. Please note that the first two sellers specialize in selling foreign books, mainly from Asia, that means that the estimated delivery time can be 1-3 weeks (without tracking number) if you choose the standard service as shipping method. If you are an impatient person, please choose expedited shipping with tracking number, even if you have to pay more.

Known for: selling used and new Japanese Goods
A trustworthy and professional seller from Japan. If I want to buy a Japanese book, they usually have it listed at a good price and condition. They can also buy for you in Japan as a personal shopper, so if you can not find a particular book (or other good) listed in their Storefront, you can contact them throught Amazon or "personalshopper@cloud-water.com" and ask them to buy it for you.
Forest Song 風入松书屋
Known for: offering a wide range of Chinese books
¿You want to buy a Chinese book online, but you do not know where to do it? Try Forest Song, they have a wide variety of titles from China and other countries. One drawback is that sometimes their prices can be a bit high compared to others sellers, but they are highly reliable and you can also ask them by email if they can find a specific Chinese book that you are interested in.
Known for: its wide variety of used/ex-library books
Friends of the San Francisco Public Library is a nonprofit organization that fund raises, advocates and works with partners and volunteers to provide critical support for the San Francisco Public Library and the Bay Area Community. They specialize in selling used books of nearly everything. Book prices may vary depending on several factors (book condition, edition number, format) but in general terms they are accessible.
